Laura L. Lasko Executive Director

Laura joined Girls on the Run in July 2009. She has over 18 years of experience working with youth serving nonprofit organizations. For the past ten years, Laura was with Girls Inc. as the Executive Director at the Augusta, GA and Jacksonville, FL affiliates. Laura has a passion for girls needs and the issues that are unique to them and she believes in the mission of Girls on the Run wholeheartedly!
Although Laura is not a runner, she has a long history in athletics and believes every girl should participate to increase their self-esteem, resilience and build a healthy life style. Laura hopes to catch the running bug and looks forward to helping Girls on the Run of Northeast Florida reach every girl who wants to participate!

Teri Thrower Program Manager
Additional Information:
Teri Thrower, Program Manager, joined GOTR as a coach of one of our scholarship sites during Fall 2008. A native of the NW suburbs of Chicago , she relocated to Jacksonville with her husband in the winter of 2001 after graduating with elementary and junior-high teaching certificates from Northern Illinois University. After working in the Duval County elementary school system for a couple of years, she had the privilege of being a stay-at-home mother for her son, Aden (4). During this time, she was also very active in extra-curricular activities, including softball, running, and volunteering at her church, Celebration Church of Jacksonville, where she is still a service coordinator.
At GOTR, Teri will oversee the GOTR program, including serving as a liaison to all Site Champions and Coaches and coordinating site visits. She will also oversee registration for fall and spring.

Beth Neale Volunteer Coordinator
Additional Information:
Beth has served as a GOTR volunteer and trained coach for two years. With a passion for volunteerism, Beth has worked with many different organizations in Jacksonville, including the Junior League of Jacksonville, North Florida School, Operation Backpack, Southside United Methodist Church, and Hendricks Avenue Elementary. Beth graduated from The University of Georgia with a degree in Health Education. From there, she worked in pharmaceutical sales and recruiting until she moved to Jacksonville with her husband. They now have four children and stay busy with their activities. Beth enjoys exercising and has run in many local races. She also enjoys spending time with her family, traveling, working in her yard, and helping others. At GOTR , Beth will oversee all new coach recruitment, training, special events and volunteer coordination. Welcome, Beth!
